How a Couple’s Vacation Changed Our Lives
My husband, Henry, and I had been married for more than 14 years and we have two children, a boy and a girl. Ever since our tenth anniversary, our life has started to compose of routine activities. In the morning he prepares our little boy to school while I feed our baby girl. We would carpool to work together and drop our youngest off to the baby sitter and our eldest to his school on the way. After work hours, he fetches me from my office, grab some groceries and go home. Once we arrive home, he bathes the chilren while I prepare for dinner, afterwards, he washes the dishes while I put the kids back to sleep. And every day is just like that. After every activity that we’ve done for the day, the most intimate thing we could do is to put our pajamas on and go to sleep, we don’t even have time to cuddle anymore. When we get the chance, we go on date nights. But even that is routine because all that we do is grab dinner and watch a movie then go back home.
During that moment, I was beginning to think that we were losing our chemistry. Scared that we might end up in divorce, I searched for new things that we should experience together, and that was when I came across http://www.spa-vacation-packages.com/category/couples-spa-vacation and discovered spa vacations for couples. Immediately, I looked for a nearby resort that offer spa packages for couples and I called my sister so that my kids have a place to stay in while we were away.
Our weekend together was an amazing experience. The rooms of the hotel that we have chosen was very intimate and was designed romantically. And because we had no kids to take care of during that night, we had time to cuddle and drink wine by the fireplace. We also experienced massages and facials together and the couple building activities were all very helpful in bringing us closer together again.
Today, my husband and I are better couples. We learned that despite our busy schedules, we should still have time for each other. We should also discover new things frequently, but instead of doing it with just the two of us, we include our kids in our adventures.
