Tasty Fat Burning Foods
Everyone can use a little help to stay in shape…cutting out sweetened soft drinks, skipping dessert, a vigorous game of tennis. But let’s face it, in today’s busy world, we tend to indulge ourselves with unhealthy, fattening foods while sitting, semi-comatose in front of the t.v. I, unfortunately, fall into this category, and over the last several years, it has taken its toll. I’ve had to purchase all new clothing in a larger size and my energy level has diminished to the extent that I’d rather stay home than go for a bicycle ride with my children or a jog in the park.
Then, one day, I came upon an article about fat burning foods. By eating these foods, according to the article, you can lose weight without reducing your calorie intake and without spending hours a week at the gym. I went through the list of fat burning foods and selected several that I thought would be palatable; then I added them to my weekly shopping list. Mostly, I prepared some spicy Mexican dishes with ground cinnamon and jalapeno and other peppers, Incredibly, after just a few days eating these fat burning foods, I found that my energy level had increased and the waistband of my jeans was considerably looser. Then I added other fat burning foods to my meals during the week; my family, I felt, could use to lose a few pounds, too.
It’s six months since I began cooking with fat burning foods on a regular basis. I have lost twenty pounds and want to lose another ten pounds. My husband and I now how have the energy to play several sets of tennis every weekend. The whole family goes bike riding and for long walks in the woods behind our home. Last night, my fourteen year old daughter asked if she could invite a friend to dinner. “You make the best food, Mom!” she exclaimed.
